"Delighted with the professional job that Patrick did in our house this week. He was a pleasure to deal with. Will be getting him in the future."
"I was very thankful to Patrick, for the great work he did for us. Firstly, he is very reliable and sorted issues with outdoor lights on new build that another electrician did not sort properly for us."
"Great experience - easy people to deal, respond quickly to all queries and carry out great work at competitive prices. Would highly recommend!"
Yes, if you qualify. SEAI pays a flat €300 towards a home charger in 2026. It was cut from €600 in 2024, so older articles may quote the higher figure. You need off-street parking, only one grant is paid per MPRN (electricity meter), the charger must be on SEAI's approved register, and it must be installed by a Safe Electric registered electrician. You apply at seai.ie and the grant is paid to you after the installation.
Yes. Installing an EV charger means adding a new circuit, which must be carried out and certified by a registered electrical contractor. It's also a condition of the SEAI grant. We're Safe Electric registered (A5964) and every installation comes with certification.
Most Irish homes have a single-phase supply, which supports chargers up to around 7kW. That's enough to charge most electric cars overnight. 22kW chargers need a three-phase supply, which is more common in commercial premises.
Yes, with a solar-compatible smart charger. It can send surplus solar power into your car instead of exporting it to the grid. We also install solar PV, so we can plan both together.
Not always. We check your consumer unit and earthing before quoting. If an upgrade is needed, it's itemised on your quote so there are no surprises.
