Wall-mounted EV charger with an external isolator

This is the thing that separates a Dingle install from an inland one, and it's routinely ignored.

Salt-laden air corrodes mounting hardware and connections far faster than anywhere inland. We use appropriately rated fixings on exposed sites and site the charger and any isolator out of direct weather rather than on the most convenient wall. It costs slightly more up front and saves replacing corroded hardware in a few years.

Wind loading matters too, particularly on anything projecting from an exposed gable. That affects how the unit is mounted.

Older property
in the town

A lot of Dingle's housing stock is old, solid and thick-walled. That's good for the building and awkward for cable runs, so we survey the route properly rather than guessing at a price.

Some properties in the town are protected structures, and a few more sit in areas where external alterations need more thought than usual. If we think that applies to yours, we'll say so before any work starts rather than after.

Parking is the other one. Much of the town centre has no off-street parking, and the SEAI grant requires it. We'll be straight with you about whether you qualify.

We can fit anything from a single guest unit to a small bank. On a commercial install the things that matter are load balancing so the chargers don't trip the building's supply, whether you want to bill guests or restrict access, and siting so cables don't cross a walkway.
