Older property around Langford Street, Bridge Street and the town centre
Boards vary and a fair few need upgrading, either because they're full or because they predate RCD protection. Parking is the other consideration — the SEAI grant requires off-street parking, so a house fronting onto the street won't qualify.
Newer housing on the edges
The estates out toward Sunhill, Mill Road and the Iveragh road generally have modern boards with room to spare. Straight install, usually half a day.
Properties out toward Caragh Lake and Cromane
Longer driveways mean longer cable runs, and some of these sites are exposed enough that coastal-rated fixings are worth specifying. Both affect the price, so we measure at survey rather than guessing.
